A beautiful, Bangalore-based golden retriever named Krypto is about as sweet and affectionate as can be- that syncopated breathing full of rhythm beating to the drums of joy for all he meets and greets. Definitely one to fetch a ball or simply fetch a petting session from any of his humane counterparts, Krypto is what helps to make any day more enjoyable. And, when it's time for an afternoon nap or evening slumber, know that his sweet dreams are never without his favorite blanket. He'll even trot this childhood attachment up and down the stairs- perfect placing this amenity to surpass the comfort of any body pillow or teddy bear. Profound personality traits become something to cherish about our companion pets- their "quirks" becoming something staple with their routine and adored just the same. And so, to Krypto who has won the hearts of his forever home, let that marble floor reflect the precious nature of Krypto and his Linus-like blanket tendencies...

Those first steps taken- knowing that the world open for one to explore doesn't always happen as a young puppy. Confined in cages, sometimes physical, sometimes emotional, and sometimes both, can be a life that is known all too well by all too many companion pets. But the experience of seeing a rescue be released from a life of breeding or making someone else’s best offered price becomes priceless- especially when they are so inclined to walk towards you instead of cowering away in fear. Bennett is a 4 year old stunning Merle Poodle. He was a breeder release that was from a breeder in Kansas who was retiring 45 of her dogs. Sadly, they never knew lives outside cages, never felt love, played with a toy, slept on a bed or inside a home prior to coming to us, so they are slowly experiencing so many new things. Bennett loves to observe and you can tell he enjoys what he sees as his tail is constantly wagging. How beautiful it is to know that Bennett was adopted?? !! He will get showered with attention and live in a home with another companion canine

Perhaps a breed misunderstood by many, this is simply not the case for Arlene and her baby basset boy, Noir. She knows what to say in a special kind of way that makes both his day and hers. Noir shows his affection by being close by and Arlene feels so bright and never questions why the two of them were just meant to be. The saying of “I was chosen by him” could not be more true for this beautiful pair of kindred souls. Regal in his own right, Noir knows that he owns the heart of his mother who has provided a loving forever home for this rescue. And the way she watches over him is simply a reflection of how he watches over her in his own way. Should we ever be so lucky to share special and tender moments of a journey that is still full of wonderful experiences before the destination is reached. As a co-founder of an amazing animal rescue, Arlene knows first hand what it feels like to have one’s heart truly touched by a basset hound. And perhaps this is why Noir and Arlene are an example of expressions that really do speak to the heart...
